For the Bernina Express the seat reservation is mandatory and sold separately. For the Red Train it is optional. On both trains the reservation is per leg — round-trip means paying twice.

Children, dogs, groups
Dogs
Small dogs in a carrier travel free. Larger dogs need a dog ticket at half the adult fare. EU pet passport, microchip and current rabies vaccination are required for the Italy ↔ Switzerland border crossing.
Groups (10+)
RhB offers group discounts for parties of 10 or more — typically 20 % off the standard fare. Reservations must be arranged through the RhB group sales desk in advance.
